Jennet was born in 1796 in Llansannor.1   Jennet's father was Hopkin John and her mother was Jennet Richard.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard   John and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Morgan Richard and Jennet Jones.  She was the fifth of six children.  She had three brothers and two sisters, named William , John, Richard, Ann and Rebeckah.
