Elizabeth was born in 1856 in Stogursey Somerset.1   Elizabeth's father was John Harris and her mother was Laura  Webb.  Her paternal grandparents were William Harris and Martha Burnett,Burnet; her maternal grandparents were Thomas  Webb and Mary Crane.  She was the second of ten children.  She had six brothers and three sisters, named Henry, Frank, Barnett, John, Thomas , John, Emily, Kate and Alice .
