Robert  was born in 1792 in Menlap Kingston Langley.1   Robert 's father was Simon Granger and his mother was Ann Little.  His paternal grandparents were William Granger and Penninah.  He was the youngest of two children.  He had a brother named William.  He had a half-brother named Simon.
