Thomas was born in 1794 in Llansannor and was baptised in Stanway Glos..1   Thomas' father was Thomas  Dyer and his mother was Elizabeth.  His paternal grandparents were William Dyer and Anne.  He was the oldest of five children.  He had three brothers and a sister, named Richard, John, Benjamin  and Elizabeth.
