Benjamin  was born in 1798 in Stanway Glos. and was baptised there on February 5th, 1798.1   Benjamin 's father was Thomas  Dyer and his mother was Elizabeth.  His paternal grandparents were William Dyer and Anne.  He was the third of five children.  He had three brothers and a sister, named Thomas, John, Richard and Elizabeth.
