Mary was born on June 8th, 1798 in Sturton Storgursey Somerset and was baptised on June 17th, 1798 in Stogursey Somerset.1   Mary's father was Isaac Crane and her mother was Joan Rowe.  Her paternal grandparents were George Crane and Hannah Brewer.  She was the youngest of five children.  She had two brothers and two sisters, named George , Joseph, Sarah and Hannah.
