William was born about August 1888 in Mile End.1   William's father was William Frederick Willsher and his mother is Louisa J..  His paternal grandfather was William Willsher and his paternal grandmother is <Unknown>. He had three sisters named Elsie, Ethel and Lilian.  He was the oldest of the four known children.  He died about May 1967 in Sutton, Surrey.2
