Joseph Walker

Joseph was born about 1854 in New Beechburn, Co. Durham.¹ Joseph's father was Richard Walker and his mother was Mary Jane Smith. He had six brothers and a sister, named George, William, Edward, Anthony, Benjamin, Harrison and Jane. He was the oldest of the eight known children. He had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named William, John, Thomas, Richard, Robert, Ralph, Margaret, Elizabeth and Elenor.
