  • If James existed, no birth or baptism record, but two births of 10 recorded in 1911 census are unaccounted for.  Only 6 children survived until 1911 census, 4 are identified and remainder must be female.

• General Notes
  • The fragmentory family search record showning Anthony and Bridget Stanton nee Reilly as parents of Pat bc 1875 and brother Anthony do not contain James, known as the elder brother.
    
    The 1911 census has Bridget widow, head of household, living with son Anthony.and Thomas and Mary as other adult children, residing at Carowmore Townland, Mayo. The sons are labourers.
    
    There is a James Stanton, farmer, residing at Curraghmore Townland, Mayo, but this is a distinct Townland.and age would not make this James elder than Anthony but James would be older than Patrick.
