Ann was born in 1796.  Ann's father was Thomas Higson and her mother was Esther Unknown.  Her paternal grandparents were George Higson and Ann Berry. She had four brothers and five sisters, named THOMAS, James, John, Henry, Esther, Esther, Betty, Alice and Esther.  She was the eighth oldest of the ten children.
