Alice was born on September 13th, 1715.  Alice's father was Richard Higson and her mother was Mary Pendlebury.  Her paternal grandparents were Giles Higson and Anna Farneworth. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Giles, John, George, Margareta, Mary and Sarah.  She was the sixth oldest of the seven children.
