Margaret was born on September 20th, 1687 in Quethiock, Cornwall.1   Margaret's father was William Doney and her mother was Julian Toms. She had eight brothers and three sisters, named William, William, George, Christian, John, Stephen, Nathan, Richard, Philippa, Mary and Ann.  She was the second oldest of the twelve children.
