Eleanor Beckwith

Eleanor was born about 1852 in Black Hill, Co. Durham, England.¹ Eleanor's father was Joseph Beckwith and her mother was Ruth Priestly. Her paternal grandparents were Cuthbert Beckwith and Jane Wanless; her maternal grandparents were Joseph Preistley and Elenor Preistley nee NK. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, John, William , Emerson, Jane, Isabella and Frances. She was the second oldest of the eight children.
