Beatrice was born about 1865 in Rumworth, Lancashire, England.¹ Beatrice's father was Ellis Boardman and her mother was Sarah HIGSON. Her paternal grandparents were Philip Boardman and Beatrix Boardman nee NK; her maternal grandparents were Henry HIGSON and Mary Heaton.
