Margaret was born about February 1883 in Medomsley, Co. Durham.1  Margaret's father was John Whittle and her mother is Jane Golding.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Whittle and Mary (Whittle).  She had a brother and four sisters, named Joseph, Ellen, Eliza, Elizabeth and Mary.  She was the youngest of the six known children.  Margaret is no longer alive.
