Elizabeth was born about May 1872 in Wolsingham, Tow Law, Durham.1  Elizabeth's father was John Whittle and her mother is Jane Golding.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Whittle and Mary (Whittle).  She had a brother and four sisters, named Joseph, Mary, Eliza, Ellen and Margaret.  She was the second oldest of the six known children.  Elizabeth is no longer alive.
