Elenor was born about 1834 in Co. Durham.1   Elenor's father was Richard Walker and her mother was Elizabeth.  She had five brothers named John, Thomas, Richard, Robert and Ralph.  She was the fourth oldest of the six known children.  She had eight half-brothers and three half-sisters, named William, Joseph, George, William, Edward, Anthony, Benjamin, Harrison, Margaret, Elizabeth and Jane.
