Amelia WHITTLE

Amelia was born about 1886 in Lanchester, Co. Durham.¹ Amelia's father was John WHITTLE and her mother was Mary Ann Walker. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Whittle and Nancy THOMASON; her maternal grandparents were Ralph Walker and Jane Moses. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Ralph, Elizabeth and Nancy. She was the second oldest of the five known children.
