William McTaggart

William was born on May 2nd, 1849 in Poolsfold, Halliwell, (or Astley Bridge), Bolton, Lancashire.¹ William's father was James McTaggart and his mother was Mary Hardman. His paternal grandparents were James McTaggart and Margaret Gemmell. He was an only child.
