Eleanor was born on July 22nd, 1683.  Eleanor's father was Giles Higson and her mother was Anna Farneworth.  Her paternal grandfather was George Higson and her paternal grandmother is <Unknown>.  She had eight brothers and six sisters, named George, Jacob, Richard, Peter, Giles, Jacobi, Richard, John, Priscilla, Margareta, Martha, Dorothea, Margareta and Alice.  She was the tenth oldest of the fifteen children.
