John HUGHES

John was born about February 1891 in Stanley, Co. Durham.¹ John's father was Jonathan HUGHES and his mother was Matilda Armstrong. His paternal grandparents were John Hughes and Maria THOMASON. He had a brother and a sister, named Henry and Beatrice. He was the second oldest of the three known children.
