Nathan was born on September 26th, 1700 in Quethiock, Cornwall.1   Nathan's father was William Doney and his mother was Julian Toms.  He had seven brothers and four sisters, named William, William, George, Christian, John, Stephen, Richard, Margaret, Philippa, Mary and Ann.  He was the tenth oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 52 on April 17th, 1753 in Quethiock, Cornwall.1
