Martha was born about 1861 in Renhold, Bedfordshire.1   Martha's father was George Barnes Barker and her mother is Emma Harlow.  Her paternal grandfather was George James Barker and her paternal grandmother is Elizebeth; her maternal grandparents are George Harlow and Jane.  She had three brothers and a sister, named Joseph, Charles, Frederick and Mary.  She was the fourth oldest of the five children.  Martha is no longer alive.
