George was born about 1831 in Gamlingay, Cambridgeshire.1   George's father was George James Barker and his mother is Elizebeth.  His paternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>.  He had three brothers and two sisters, named James, John, Samuel, Elizabeth and Sarah.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died about February 1864.
