Thomas was born about July 3rd, 1785 in Porlock, Somerset and his baptism took place on July 3rd, 1785 in Porlock Parish Church, Somerset.1 2  Thomas' father was Gregory Tidball and his mother is Elizabeth Pearse.  His paternal grandparents were WALTER TIDBALL and Elizabeth. He had a brother and four sisters, named James, Elizabeth, Anne, Sarah and Martha.  He was the fourth oldest of the six known children.  Thomas is no longer alive.
