William Steer

William was born about December 25th, 1846 in Exford, Somerset and his baptism took place on December 27th, 1846 in Exford, Somerset, Parish Church.¹ William's father was John Steer and his mother was Agnes Hoyels. His maternal grandparents were John Hoyles and Joan Latham. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Joseph, Richard, Lewis, Thomas, Keziah, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the nine children.
