Richard Steer

Richard was born about February 15th, 1837 in Exford, Somerset and his baptism took place on February 18th, 1837 in Exford, Somerset, Parish Church.¹ Richard's father was John Steer and his mother was Agnes Hoyels. His maternal grandparents were John Hoyles and Joan Latham. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Joseph, Lewis, Thomas, William, Keziah, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
