Mary Steer

Mary was born about March 19th, 1840 in Exford, Somerset and her baptism took place on March 20th, 1840 in Exford, Somerset, Parish Church.¹ Mary's father was John Steer and her mother was Agnes Hoyels. Her maternal grandparents were John Hoyles and Joan Latham. She had six brothers and two sisters, named John, Joseph, Richard, Lewis, Thomas, William, Keziah and Elizabeth. She was the sixth oldest of the nine children.
