Lewis Steer

Lewis was born about July 10th, 1838 in Exford, Somerset and his baptism took place on July 12th, 1838 in Exford, Somerset, Parish Church.¹ Lewis' father was John Steer and his mother was Agnes Hoyels. His maternal grandparents were John Hoyles and Joan Latham. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Joseph, Richard, Thomas, William, Keziah, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.
