Hugh was born about November 7th, 1826 in Stoke Pero, Somerset, England and his baptism took place on November 9th, 1826 in Stoke Pero Parish Church, Somerset.1 2   Hugh's father was HUGH POOLE and his mother was MARY HOOPER.  His paternal grandparents were James Poole and MARY Westarn; his maternal grandfather is JOHN HOOPER and his maternal grandmother was MARY SULLEY. He had five brothers and four sisters, named James, John, Hugh, William, Thomas, Mary, Sarah, JANE and Elizabeth.  He was the nineth oldest of the ten children.  He died about November 30th, 1826 in Stoke Pero, Somerset, England.  He was buried on December 3rd, 1826 in Stoke Pero Parish Church, Somerset.3 4
