John NEWTON

John was born about October 1720 and his baptism took place on October 1st, 1720 in Exford, Somerset, Parish Church.¹ John's father was HENRY NEWTON and his mother was MELIOR WINSBURSON?. He had two brothers and five sisters, named William, JOHN, Joan, Elizabeth, Mary, Agnis and Melior. He was the oldest of the eight known children. He had a half-brother named William.
