Henry was born about March 1860 in Rose Ash, Devon, England.¹ Henry's father was James NEWTON and his mother was Martha Colwell. His paternal grandparents were Henry NEWTON and Mary Nichols; his maternal grandfather is <Unknown> and his maternal grandmother was Ann Colwell.
