Betsey Harris

Betsey was born in October 1860 in West Anstey, Devon.¹ Betsey's father was John Gaydon Harris and her mother was Sarah Mogford. Her paternal grandparents were James Harris and Sally Gaydon; her maternal grandparents were John Mogford and Sarah. She had three brothers and five sisters, named John, James, William, Lucy, Mary, Ellen, Jane and Salome. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
