Silvester was born in 1754 and his baptism took place on May 18th, 1752 in Exford, Somerset, Parish Church.  Silvester's father was Silvester Gregory and his mother was Joan. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Richard, Thomas, William, Mary, Grace and Elizabeth.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 46 in 1800 in Exford, Somerset.  He was buried on April 6th, 1800 in Exford, Somerset, Parish Church.
