Mary was born about April 8th, 1792 in Exford, Somerset and her baptism took place on April 8th, 1792 in Exford, Somerset, Parish Church.1  Mary's father was Silvester Williams and her mother was Mary Hooper.  Her paternal grandparents were Amos Williams and Grace Johns; her maternal grandparents were Francis Hooper and Mary Shapcott.  She had two brothers and a sister, named William, Robert and Grace.  She was the second oldest of the four known children.
