Grace was born about June 11th, 1797 in Winsford, Somerset and her baptism took place on June 11th, 1797 in Exford, Somerset, Parish Church.1 2  Grace's father was Silvester Williams and her mother was Mary Hooper.  Her paternal grandparents were Amos Williams and Grace Johns; her maternal grandparents were Francis Hooper and Mary Shapcott.  She had two brothers and a sister, named William, Robert and Mary.  She was the youngest of the four known children.
