Ann was born about March 2nd, 1806 in Cutcombe, Somerset, England and her baptism took place on March 2nd, 1806 in Cutcombe Parish Church, Somerset.1   Ann's father was Alexander Tudball and her mother was Ann James.  Her paternal grandparents were Alexander Tidball and Anne Tucker; her maternal grandparents were John James and Ann.  She had three brothers and two sisters, named John, William, Robert, Betty and Mary.  She was the fourth oldest of the six children.
