Rose was born on September 19th, 1710 in Wendron, Cornwall, England.1   Rose's father was William Prior and her mother was Mary Bolithoe.  Her paternal grandparents are John Prior and Zenobia Wearne.  She had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Simon, Mary and Jane.  She was the fourth oldest of the five children.
