- The Family Search c1804 marriage record for a Hugh Poole , born c1780 at Cutcombe, and Mary possibly refers to this Hugh Poole's father but the Cutcombe Parish Record Transcript has no record supporting the 1780 birth or the 1804 marriage.
  
  However, the Exford 1812 baptism record for this Hugh Poole does list Hugh and Mary as parents.

Hugh's father was Hugh Poole and his mother is Mary. He had a sister named Mary. He was the older of the two known children. He died about January 1840. His burial was on February 1st, 1840 in Exford, Somerset.¹
