Sarah was born in 1876.  Sarah's father was William Sellick Parsons and her mother was Elizabeth Mary Gibbs.  She had five brothers and three sisters, named William, James, George, John, Albert, Mary, Alice and Ellen.  She was the eighth oldest of the nine children.
