William Newton

William was born about February 1860 in East Anstey, Devon.¹ William's father was Thomas Newton and his mother was Elizabeth Chapple ?. His paternal grandparents were William Newton and Elizabeth NK. He had a brother and four sisters, named Thomas, Marian, Eva, Menney and Edith. He was the third oldest of the six children. He had a half-sister named Elizabeth.
