William was born about 1703 and his baptism took place on August 17th, 1703 in North Molton, Devon, England.  William's father was William Huxtable and his mother was Elizabeth Squire.  He had a brother and four sisters, named William, Mary, Elizabeth, Mary and Elizabeth.  He was the fifth oldest of the six children.
