Charlotte was born about October 23rd, 1822 in Dulverton, Somerset, England and her baptism took place on October 23rd, 1822 in Dulverton Parish Church, Dulverton, Somerset.1 2   Charlotte's father was George Holloway and her mother was Joan May?.  Her paternal grandparents are John Holloway and Joan.  She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, George, William, Henry, Richard, Mary Anne, Joan, Betty and Charity.  She was the third oldest of the ten children.
