Fanny was born about 1853 in Bedminster, Somerset.1   Fanny's father was John Gregory and her mother was Sarah Tuckfield.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard Gregory and Fanny; her maternal grandparents are John Tuckfield and Mary.  She had two brothers named Richard and Charles.  She was the youngest of the three children.
