Sidney George Gibbs

Sidney was born on August 15th, 1876 in Yeo Mill, Devon.¹ Sidney 's father was George Gibbs and his mother was Elizabeth Hawkins Newton. His paternal grandparents were William S. Gibbs and Elizabeth (Betsey) T. May; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Newton and Mary Hockins. He had a brother and four sisters, named Herbert, Mary, Elisa, Mary and Lilian. He died at the age of 80 in 1956 in Skilgate, Somerset.¹
