William was born about January 1859 in Goosemoor. Exton, Somerset, England and his baptism took place on January 24th, 1859 in Exton Parish Church, Somerset, England.1 2  William's father was Charles Baker and his mother was Emma.  His paternal grandfather was <Unknown> and his paternal grandmother is Susannah Webber.  He was an only child.
