George was born about October 8th, 1748.  George's father was Edward Western and his mother was Joan Larcombe. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Benjamin, Benjamin, Ann, Elizabeth, MARY, Sarah and Jane.  He was the youngest of the eight children.
