Elizabeth was born about March 1st, 1732 in Elworthy Parish Church, Somerset and her baptism took place there on March 24th, 1732.1 2  Elizabeth's father was Edward Western and her mother was Joan Larcombe. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin, Benjamin, George, Ann, MARY, Sarah and Jane.  She was the second oldest of the eight children.
