Benjamin was born about December 26th, 1739.  Benjamin's father was Edward Western and his mother was Joan Larcombe. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Benjamin, George, Ann, Elizabeth, MARY, Sarah and Jane.  He was the fifth oldest of the eight children.
