Charlotte Thorne

Charlotte was born about 1842 in Withypool, Somerset and her baptism took place on March 26th, 1843 in Withypool Parish Church.¹² Charlotte's father was John Thorne and her mother was Sarah Greenslade. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Thorne and Elizabeth Parkin; her maternal grandfather was William Greenslade and her maternal grandmother is Mary. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Richard, John, Jacob, William, Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth, Jane, Eliza and Maria. She was the nineth oldest of the twelve children.
